Patching profiles
Stream Deck silently ignores switchToProfile unless the target profile’s manifest contains InstalledByPluginUUID matching this plugin.
Patching adds that tag (and migrates AppIdentifier when needed).
When to patch
Section titled “When to patch”- A rule points to a profile but switching never happens.
- The profile status in the property inspector shows plain or smart instead of ready.
How to patch
Section titled “How to patch”- Open the property inspector.
- Scroll to the profile status list.
- Click Patch next to the profile name.
- Quit and restart Stream Deck (tray → Quit, not just close the window).
Status meanings
Section titled “Status meanings”| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ready | Plugin-owned, safe to switch |
| conflict | Plugin-owned but AppIdentifier was restored — will be re-migrated |
| smart | Built-in Smart Profile only — patch to enable plugin switching |
| plain | No AppIdentifier — patch to enable plugin switching |
| default | Default Profile (*) — do not patch |
| other | Owned by another plugin |
Force patch
Section titled “Force patch”Use Force patch when a profile is owned by another plugin and you intentionally want this plugin to take over.
