Quick start
This walkthrough switches to a dedicated profile when Calculator is focused.
1. Add the action
Section titled “1. Add the action”Drag Auto Profile Switcher from the actions list onto any key.
2. Create a test profile
Section titled “2. Create a test profile”Create a new Stream Deck profile with a distinct icon so you can see when switching works.
3. Open Calculator
Section titled “3. Open Calculator”Have Calculator visible on your desktop for the detection step.
4. Test detection
Section titled “4. Test detection”- Click the Auto Profile Switcher key to open the property inspector.
- Click Test detection.
- Within 3 seconds, focus the Calculator window.
- The panel shows the process name and window title.
5. Add a rule
Section titled “5. Add a rule”Click + Add this to App List to pre-fill a rule, then pick your test profile from the dropdown.
6. Save and close Stream Deck
Section titled “6. Save and close Stream Deck”Save settings and fully quit Stream Deck (system tray → Quit). Re-open and minimize to the tray.
Auto-switching is paused while the property inspector is open.
7. Patch the profile
Section titled “7. Patch the profile”If switching does not work, scroll to the profile list in the property inspector and click Patch next to the target profile. This tags it as plugin-owned so switchToProfile is allowed.
Restart Stream Deck again after patching.
8. Try it
Section titled “8. Try it”Focus Calculator — your Stream Deck profile should switch.
